Irons Park is located in the City around the West Branch of the Rifle River off Valley Road & Shrigley Road. The park was given its name the original property holder, Archie Irons. This individual possessed portion of the park property along with a community food store. Around 1955 the property ended up being sold and provided to the town of West Branch. They have observed numerous additions along with modifications through the years, but appears as being a much loved place to take pleasure in the outdoors. Lots of events are held in the recreation area annually like an Mutt March, Summer Music Series, Easter egg hunt, Victorian Artwork Fair, Kids fishing derby and duck Racing contests just to name a few.
The City of West Branch is a unique and wonderful community that serves as the county seat for Ogemaw County, Michigan.
