Lake St. Clair Metropark is a unit of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority.
Lakeside, walk along a 1,600 foot boardwalk overlooking the one-mile shoreline. Michigan’s $10 Recreation Passport, purchased for your Michigan license plate, allows entry into all Michigan state parks. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks is a separate regional park system, and requires its own entry permit.
Seasonal special events draw people from all over the State and region during the park’s greener season while winter seasons offer outdoor enthusiasts for fishing, skiing and skating. All paved walks are maintained year round for exercise and accessing the shoreline and its awesome beauty.
A fully staffed Nature Center offers educational programs year round and hosts many interpretive festivals and events. The Center is open daily and a professional naturalist can always provide details and insight on the latest wildlife sightings and where spectators might find them. Some seasonal wildlife migrations can be seen in and around Metro Beach. The Nature Center is the ideal place to learn more about when and where to witness these wonders.
Lake St. Clair Metropark is a State Harbor of refuge and the park offers transient dockage for more than 200 boats. Dockage with full utilities and without are available while navigable water is present. Some dockage is available to reserve by phone and web. Boaters that dock at Lake St. Clair Metropark enjoy access to many recreation facilities including golf, swimming, tennis and court games. A food court provides convenient dining opportunities and shuttle bus service is available to those who wish to dine out.
