Mack Avenue Grille
For 25 years, the Mack Avenue Diner was an east side staple. Now, under new owners, it’s been handsomely renovated and has an emphasis on fresh ingredients. It’s still a diner, of course, with such diner staples as egg dishes, pancakes, waffles and more – served anytime – but it also offers appealing salads, sandwiches, pita wraps and dinner items, also served anytime. There’s a bit of a Greek spin under proprietors Louie and Dino Ropotos, including desserts from Astoria Bakery in Greektown.
